It’s time to transform mental health care.

MindSetting exists to increase access to quality psychotherapy.

The MindSetting difference

Our treatment protocols are patient-centred, safe, and clinically proven.

MindSetting psychotherapists are trained to provide a variety of evidence-based approaches including, when appropriate, psychedelic therapy.

Psychedelic Therapy at MindSetting

At most psychedelic therapy clinics, patients are offered a self-guided psychedelic session, where clinicians are present to ensure safety, but are not engaging the patient during the experience.

At MindSetting, we understand the importance of active therapist participation before, during, and after the psychedelic experience. Our proprietary TRIP treatment protocol empowers therapists to provide the best possible patient care.

What is the TRIP Protocol?

The TRIP protocol is an evidence-based five-step process that includes active psychedelic enhanced psychotherapy, and detailed session analysis.

Our psychedelic therapy protocol was carefully developed to centre the patient experience and empower therapists to deliver safe and effective care.

HOW PSYCHEDELIC THERAPY WORKS

Increasing mental health involves increasing connection, objectivity and flexibility. Psychedelic medicine, when administered in an appropriate setting with a skilled clinician, does exactly that.

Psychedelic medicine acts on parts of the brain referred to as the Default Mode Network (DMN). This part of the brain is activated when we are engaged in self-referential activities like rumination, excessive worry and other negative thought patterns: activities that are closely tied to conditions like depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Psychedelics such as ketamine decrease activity in the DMN and promote the development of new neural connections, increasing communication between affected parts of the brain. This increase in activity combined with psychotherapy has been shown to significantly improve mental health.
